We interviewed a number of potential firms for our loft conversion and we decided that Dan was not only competitive on price but he was also enthusiastic and interested in looking to provide what we wanted rather than simply deliver a straightforward “generic” loft conversion. He took great care to work with us to figure out the plans to turn a potentially difficult layout for our loft into something that fitted naturally with the feel of the original property and also met our needs. Dan was sensitive to the requirements of carrying out work in a conservation area and ensuring the end result fitted with the character of our house, particularly in terms of his recommendations for design, finishing and materials.

Dan was responsive and attentive to detail and made sure that we were happy with the work along the way. He was also fully committed to finding the right person for the various other jobs that we sent in his direction, from finding a stonemason for external stonework to matching original internal plasterwork, and he took great pride in the excellent work of his team of carpenters and other specialists.

His team of specialists were always cheery, extremely hardworking and helpful, often eschewing offers of cups of tea in favour of getting on with the job! Even during the most destructive phase of the building work they were fastidiously tidy and careful. Dan’s attention to detail was similarly keen and he worked hard to minimise any disruption to the rest of the house during the process.
